Free games are free, but you have to pay me to play this game.

After months of playing FFXI, then quitting for Lineage II and being highly disappointed and ending up with absolutely no RPG to play, of course I was going to jump at the chance to play a free MMORPG that had a decent looking website. Needless to say, there was not a single moment in the 2 hours of me trying hard to find anything good in the game, that I could actually say was the least bit good.

The gameplay itself isn't terrible. It is just like any other MMORPG, you click on the enemies and begin attacking them. Quite often, they drop items and equipment, that you can either sell or equip to yourself. There are also a few really strong attacks you can do that make nice looking effects, but just don't quite make up for the bad things.

The graphics are seemingly good in screenshots. It is true, characters really shine and with all due respect, look pretty nice. The worlds, on the other hand, are quite bland. The worst part is the HUD. The HUD is the worst thing I have ever seen. The HUD alone can be the reason that most people don't want to play the game. It looks like they took the Diablo II HUD, made it huge, and threw rotten apples and garbage. It is the worst thing I have ever seen, and I doubt anyone that has a high level character can argue with me.

The sounds are quite bad. There aren't many sounds that you can make, whether you're pummeling someone with a 4-foot javelin, or walking on grass. Sounds become very repetitive and actually quite annoying. Nuff said, the sound is terrible.

The game itself is free, so you can't expect all too much from a game that you can just download and start playing. The thing is, there are other games like Gunbound and America's Army out there that are free, and are actually worth your time. I see this game as possibly the worst game I have personally played. I would stay away from it at all costs. If you are the type that will try anything once, and would like to waste a few hours of your time and some space on your harddrive until you uninstall it, then be my guest. Everyone else out there, you are better off with Runescape or Gunbound if you absolutely need something free, but from personal experience, if you are going to spend hours upon hours on developing a cool character in an RPG, go spend money on a game that is worth your time.
