Repetitive tracks

User Rating: 6.5 | MotorStorm PS3
Motorstorm is pretty good for a racing game but it has some annoying shortcomings. The visuals are outstanding with vehicles getting destroyed piece by piece at each turn. You can choose a few vehicle types like buggies, trucks, racing cars and bikes or quads. Each of those is good on a certain terrain surface, like for example the trucks can go faster in the mud while racing cars should stick to flat roads and stay clear of sand or mud. Its a pretty good concept, so you will be looking out for different routes on the same map with each vehicle you play.

But there are only 5 tracks in the game and about 100 events, so you will be replaying those tracks over and over. Not to mention it gets hard, and I mean really hard later on, so you will be retrying a single event for about 10 times if not more till you master it. You can boost an infinite number of times with every vehicle, but watch out for overheating if you're boosting too long. The soundtrack is pretty good, but also features a handful of songs which you will probably mute by the time you clear all events. It's not a bad game, just a bit repetitive.
