A great addition to the series.

User Rating: 6.5 | Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks PS2
Hello all, Gamefreak1109 here. I figure since I'm so addicted to the game right now, I might as well write a review about it so I can express my HATRED TOWARDS IT. (Don't worry I'm kidding) So let's get this started, shall we?

Plot: You are Liu Kang (or the other 3 characters but it basically focuses on Liu Kang), and Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn are up to their no good once again. Liu Kang goes through various realms fights many different warriors to defeat Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung in the Mortal Kombat Tournament. If Liu Kang defeats Shao Kahn, Earthrealm will be saved (or atleast that's what I got out of it).

Game Play: Very groundbreaking and drastic change in the engine, normally in MK you face only one kombatant in a small 2D sidescrolling environment. While in this game you face many different kombatants (some of which are not main characters), in very large environments. In the story mode, you play as one of the 4 characters and defeat familiar faces such as Baraka, Scorpion, and Goro, and buy upgrades for your character.

Graphics: It seems the creators focused more on detailing the backround and characters, more than they did for the enemies. But no matter it is still a very very great game.

Sound: Nothing too special, just a lot of SCREAMING.

Audio: Same for sound, except there's not a lot of screaming...sometimes.

Conclusion: When it all comes down to it, MK:SM is an awesome game, although I wish they could have added a few more characters, and maybe a little more dedication on the graphics. But overall it is one of my favorite games in the series.

Side Notes: I can't finish the game I'm stuck on 98.0%. Please help thanks.
