thank you fr choosing to read my review! i appreciate it very much!

ok. like, this is nothing like the other mortal kombat games that i have played before. you think different is good, right? think again. unlike the other mk games, where you fight in an enclosed area, this one is a side scroller that completely has nothing to do with the series besides the characters from previous mk games were put in this one. mortal kombat mythologies: sub-zero is just that kind of game that wasn't meant to be released. well, at least not for the n64. why? because it was only meant for the playstation.

the plot in this game is so confusing and long and boring that i couldn't understand it. sorry.

the controls in this game are a real pain in the ass. instead of using the A and B buttons to attack, you use the c buttons. and you use the A button to pick things up, the B button to TURN AROUND instead of moving the control stick or d pad in the opposite direction, you move the control stick up to jump, the L button to block, the R button to run, the z button to bring up the items menu, and you probably know what the control stick and d pad does by now. isn't that a little too much to remember? for me, it is. well, don't complain to me! complain to Midway! they're the ones that made the game! anyway, the controls are hard to get used to and just makes the game so difficult that it's hard to play, even on very easy mode.

the graphics are basically a mix of 2d and 3d objects. but, a very bad mix. it's obvious that all the enemies, items, blood, other people and backgrounds are 2d. why? because 3d things in this game would be blocky, and have a much better mix of colors. the 3d graphics lack detail and the 2d graphics are very blurry. the level designs are very bad, too. they're confusing and nearly impossible to pass, especially if you're a beginner at this game.

the music in this game is very repetitive, annoying and unoriginal. the music doesn't fit with the levels at all and it's just so bad. the sound effects are even worse. the voice acting is very unclear and hard to understand.

the game has a few camera problems. i know that sounds impossible since this is a side scroller, but sometimes, if you move after not moving for a while, the camera will not follow you until you're almost all the way off the screen. and i've never seen that in any other side scrolling games before. weird. 0.o

according to this game, you cannot save your progress without a controller pak. and THAT is just pain ***ing retarded. you can't use a memory expansion pak to save this game, but instead, a CONTROLLER PAK????? what kind of idiot made the game like that?!

so, mortal kombat mythologies: sub-zero is a very frustrating n64 game that has nothing to do with the series. the complicated controls, horrendus level design, and the need for controller paks instead of memory expansion paks kill the game. it is best if you avoid buying this game. but if you really want it and you have a playstation, buy it on that system because the ps version has less convoluted controls and no need for controller paks. otherwise, don't even THINK about buying this game! ok. fine. buy if if you're an extreme mk fan. but if you don't like, don't say i didn't warn you.

that is all i got to say, people. peace out. please rate!!!!
