Another two thumbs up to the guys of Mortal Kombat :)
The hype for this game was fairly quiet, however, after playing the game, i realize that there should have been huge hype for this game. There are several new characteristics added that make the game even better... yes, even better! There are fatalities that you can impose upon yourself if you are the person who lost the fight, they let you die with honor! Also, there is a long, very detailed konquest mode that throws the characters into the story of the game itself. There are two new modes, chess kombat and puzzle kombat. Chess kombat is an interesting tetris type game... Mortal Kombat style. Each character has special moves that they can perform only once or twice a battle to stop the other character or to increase your chances of winning. Chess kombat sounds boring, but personally, it is my favorite part of the new game. This mode is rediculously clever, having mini battles with characters on the chess board. Choosing characters for your pons, king, queen, etc. Same concept, different game.
Overall, this game has the same great graphics, cool characters (plus some new people), and brings whole new aspects to the Mortal Kombat series. Deception is definetly the best in the Mortal Kombat series, and once again the guys at Midway have surprised us once again with this game.
