A long wait for a great game!

User Rating: 8.9 | Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance PS2
Mortal Kombat fans had to wait a long time to finally be able to once again gain control of characters such as the classics Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but the final result was definately worth the wait.
Although many MK fans were initially against the idea of a 3 dimensional Mortal Kombat game, most were instantly taken by the amazing new graphics, simple controls (although, in order to progress further into the game, more difficult button combinations will be necessary) and great new character looks. *SPOILERS BELOW*
The story the game follows, is that of an alliance formed between sorcerors Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. Quan Chi found the Ancients indestructible of the Dragon King, who was thought to have been killed a long time ago. As Quan Chi did not posses the power to take souls, which was needed to revive the Dragon King's army, he formed an alliance with Shang Tsung. Before they started their journey twoards their goal, they first took out the only two people who would be able to oppose them; Shao Kahn and Liu Kang. Needless to say that neither Liu Kang nor Shao Kahn will be in this game (Save from a cameo appearance in the opening movie). *END OF SPOILERS*
