It is the first Mortal Kombat in years and Mortal Kombat fans should definitely own this.

This one takes place where Mortal Kombat 4 left off. This time around the 2 main villains are Shang Tsung and Quan Chi who become known as the deadly alliance. The name is fitting too since they overthrow many such as Shao Kahn. Eventually the 2 gang up and kill Mortal kombat's champion who is of course Liu Kang. Now the Deadly Alliance must be stopped by someone.

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance will be somewhat different from previous MK games since this is the first Mortal Kombat for the PS2 but any Mortal Kombat fan should automatically be familiar with some of the game's characters.(Though there are some new ones this time around.) First of all there are a number of characters which you can play as and they all have their own unique moves and 3 fighting styles each which can be switched off at any time.

There are many things to do in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance such as the arcade which should automatically be familiar to anyone who has ever tried one of these games' the versus mode which of course lets you battle a friend' and the Konquest mode which gives you 10 short missions per character. There are a ton of things to buy in the Krypt which can be bought by using different colored coins. These coins can be earned in Konquest or Arcade mode. There is alot of things to do and unlock in this game which add lots of value.

Anyone who liked previous Mortal Kombat games or maybe just if they like fighting games' they should play Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
