OK for starters, HOW ON EARTH does this game get scored low by anyone??? It's innovative, immersive and just plain fun! Kill monsters, use monster's parts to equip yourself to go kill bigger monsters, use bigger monster's parts to go kill even bigger fire breathing monsters... Admittedly, there is a lot of places that Capcom could have gone wrong. Graphics could have killed the game, but they are PURDY! Control could have made it bargain bin material, but it controls well. The only thing really wrong with the game is that single-player is HARD. But play it, and when you kill a giant, poison clawed, fire breathing wyvern all by YOURSELF, the one that made you run and scream for mommy the first 20 times you saw it and then the first 20 times you TRIED to stand up to it and then again the first 20 times you came prepared to kill it, and tell me you don't feel like king of the world. You do have to be patient though. The late game takes skill. And not just your average everyday run and jump skill. It's gonna take some practice and patience. If your tired of being able to annihilate every game you play in a few days, play Monster Hunter. And if you wanna be real hardcore, don't get online till you've killed your first big wyvern alone.
