Get this game!
An ace thing about this game is that you create you own hero/hunter type person and its quite varied system.
I didnt really have any idea what to do when i started so i went straight into the guild missions with all the crappy armour and crappy weapon (so i got mushed). I then realised that you have to talk to the cheif again to get tutorial missions from him (which were easy). It also took me a while to get used to everything but when i did its so ace from then on.
The main thing you have to do in this game is get a quest kill monsters take their booty (claws, bones, scales etc) and then make better armour and weapons which makes your character look even more great and become more powerful. This may sound simple but the battles against the boss type enemies are quite tense since they are so huge and take so many hits. The damage that these huge beasts do is usually devistating but if you get damaged too much you can run away (usually in a comedy fashion) and heal using potions and food. The fighting is also very satisfying. Its quite annoying when you use a large weapon because it takes a while to hit the enemies but when you do you get such a good feeling. (especially when they go flying with the blood spray hehe)
The quests you get vary a bit. They usually require you to hunt something or a number of things or gather some required items (whilst killing stuff which is good ya kno). Some quests require you to grab some large object which makes your character walk really slow and is unable to attack which is very annoying. Another annoying thing is that if you put this object down it goes away (breaks) or if you get hit you drop it causing it to break. This is very annoying and gets me quite fustrated because you have to go back to where you get the object from initially.
Overall i think this is an excellent game. I havent even played Ad-hoc mode yet and i still think this rules. I say that if you are great get this game.
