One reason why I was happy to born in the is age is the advent of Monster Hunter. This game has caused a huge turning point in my gaming life. Why? It's because of the mobility of this game is just right for it's players, but it's not for any casual players. This game is hardcore and will be difficult at the beginning at first but eventually it'll train you to take on anything else out there.

Was a casual gamer back then, I've been playing normal games that you could usually bust through levels without breaking a single drop of sweat. At first I thought I was a really good player but I've never had the courage to play hard modes if available. Till, I got my hands on the copy of Monster Hunter Freedom.

The first few quest were alright till I was able to fight my first Wyvern. Yian Kut Ku, the weakest wyvern possible was hard as hell at the beginning. It took me about a week of retrys to actually learn to fight him. Gradually I found myself being able to dodge more often, being able to use my weapons for skillfully and knowing what armors, weapons, strategies to use through trial and error.

Graphics aren't what makes the game but the designs of weapons and armors are very original and well flourished in my opinion. This is easily one of the best looking games on the PSP.

Another fun thing about this game is it's online multiplayer is badass. Playing with people around the world, discussing about weapons, and team work. I've never felt so much co-op in any other game. You're probably gonna have to buy some wifi tool for the psp to understand to live this game in it's full extent. If you're alone, you got a felyne to help you (the cat mascot). They're pretty good, and you customize them with skills as well which makes them very rewarding to have.

The weapons in the game are all unique and have different advantages and disadvantages. You'll need to master all these advantages and how to make up for the disadvantages by playng well or add gems into your armor which will maximize you're ability to win. Repetition? It's a video game what do you expect? In my opinion, how repetition is utilized in video games is key to making it more enjoyable. Hack N' Slash genres might have a lot of move sets but eventually those moves will become repetitive.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite provides a lot more content than the rest of the ports I've played. With new monsters and new levels, even if you finished 2 or 1 you're probably gonna play this game all over till teh end (ofcourse if you have data install that is)(pretty nice to transfers lots of stuff especially since I use boy and girl to compare armors)

Story? The fact you, the player, is in a world of gigantic monsters and kicking their asses without any godly powers just proves how epic you can be.

What else? Well if you're a man , this game will change your balls into lightning steel nuclear gatling guns.
