Great game if you love Gundam SEED.

User Rating: 9.1 | Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Owaranai Ashita e PS2
I'm new at this so I'm sorry if my review isn't the greatest. However, I will put forth my best effort to objectively review the game.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow has both its high points and low points like any game.

Looking to the positive to begin with, the game does a top notch job in following the story line of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The story mode takes you through numerous key events in the series and does a fairly good job of tying all the events together. It also has a way of drawing the gamer into the feelings of the pilots as the story progresses. The game's mission mode is a perk to any Gundam SEED fan. The missions you choose allow you to get to know the characters from the series better. This part of the game fills in most of the back story on each of the characters as far as how they received their nicknames, or why they have the certain personality disorders they have.

The sound effects and voicing for the game are good. (Personally, I would have preferred to have the Japanese voice acting.)

The games graphics are amazing I think. Since I am a die hard fan of Gudam SEED, seeing the MS made into such sleek almost realistic looking machines was a dream come true.

The game play controls were . . . fair at best.

Now for the bad (in my opinion). While the game does a decent job tying events of the game together unless you watch Gundam SEED the series once you probably will be lost. A lot happens in the series and it is hard to cram it all into the few levels that the game focuses on leaving some confused and puzzled as to what happened.

As far as sound effects and voice acting goes the sound effects were perfect to me. The voice acting is a different thing though. As previously stated above.

The only problem I had with the graphics (I think this is graphics related) would have been the frame rate at times. The game would be flowing so smoothly and then the game would get to be too much for the playstation to handle and the frame rate would bottom out. Other than that minor problem I loved the graphics.

I love MS games and I haven't quite found one that makes gameplay controls just right. They either end up being way to complex to handle or overly simplified. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow was one of the latter kinds. Overly Simplified.

To sum things up (even thought there isn't much there), the game does a good job of making Gundam SEED fans at least moderately happy (I don't know what everyone who watches anime wants from their games based on a series or a movie, but I was very pleased). The bad part is, unless you have seen the series or at least read a synopsis, you are probably going to get lost fairly easily.

Here are my personal ratings if anyone is interested.

Gameplay: 10
Graphics: 8
Sound: 8 (A 10 if the voice acting was Japanese instead of English.)
Value: 10
