Even a ture die-hard Gundam fan will find it hard to love this game.

There's not much good to say about this game. So let's start with the good points.

There are LOTS of Gundams to unlock and play with. All the Gundams that you see in Gundam Seed Anime and Gundam Seed Astray are here for you to play with. While this is a good thing, it also shows how little variations there are between the Gundams. Almost every Gundam moves exactly the same! Besides your weapons, there's not much different in each one.

Now with the bad points.

Controls are horrible! There's no question about how unresponsive the controls are in this game. Many times when playing the game you'll find yourself facing the wrong direction, or even worst unable to turn to face your opponent as they smash your Gundam.

Shallow gameplay. If you watched the entire season of Gundam Seed anime show then you'll know everything. There are no suprises in here, it's just another rehash of the show. To top it all off, there is NO variaety in the mission structure. All you have to do is KILL/DAMAGE the boss Gundam and the mission is over.

Music/Sounds are horrible. Since Bandai is using some cels from the anime show, why couldn't they use the musical score from there? Instead you're left with this horrorable electronic music that totally distracts you from the game. Sound effects are no better with bip and beeps going off with very little visual cue to why they are going off.

Two main characters? And how many times do I have to play this to unlock everything?!? This points backs to the shallow gameplay. to truly unlock everything you'll need to play the single player game over, and over and over with other backup characters.

Cluttered screen. Who ever thought up of the idea that they should throw in your power guage, armor, "seed", etc all together into a ugly blob needs to go back to the design school.

So final word, don't buy for all your Gundam fans. You're better off getting Gundam Vs. Zeta Gundam if you're looking for your Gundam fix.
