I played the 2k series and Triple Play before that, so it's no surprise to hear I'm used to hitting .550 with 92 hr, and 250 rbi's. I'm used to striking out 20 a game and recording 50 wins. The last 2 years of the show have put me in my place. Last year, the realism took hold and I fell in love with playing REAL baseball. The problem was the bugs and online play. One has been improved minorly, while the other has improved majorly. No more horrible glitching in the game. You still have that awful lob from your ss on double play balls, and the easy grounder that passes the 3b, but these are just minor troubles. (still please fix these next year) The biggest drawback last year as online play. Saying it was broken is a huge understatement. I was lucky to even get in a game, but when I did... yikes. So far, after 4 games, it's a ton better. Still takes too long to get in, but the games all ran smooth. I'm a franchise mode guy and can't say anything good or bad... it's still sweet but still the same. HR derby is fun with the girlfriend and the Move works well enough.
This series did precisly what I have been begging Madden to do. Leave the structure alone and just fix the damn game. The Show did this and I couldn't be happier. People will grow wearysome if next year there is no overhaul, but this year is spot on
