Even though MLB 10 almost remains the same as last years version. It is still the best baseball game out there.
The online mode is alright but it just takes too long for me to stay focused for nine innings of free swinging (and I mean free swinging) baseball. It is also a little to glitchy for my liking. I don't like the fact that I will swing at a ball either to early or too late due to the lag. I mean, it's not like it's a horrible thing but i would rather just spend my time offline.
The franchise mode is very in depth, much like last year. You have the ability to have control of everything, or you can have the computer do some of the things for you; which is nice if you don't feel like dealing with every single injury that comes along with your minor league teams.
The RTTS mode is improving with every year I play. I just wish that I could carry over my players from previous years because it sucks when you have to start from scratch every year. It seems like every year they add minor things that stick out in a big way.There is also another thing that they added to RTTS. You now have the ability to buy points for your super star, which is great if you wanna spend twenty bucks to make a super player. I prefer to do it on my own; it may take longer but i don't think it's worth spending money on a fake player.
Overall, this a great game and a must have for any baseball fan. I love the new Home Run Derby. Its such a blast to play against my friends. The only big downside I do see for it is that the commentary is pretty much the same and the graphics haven't changed too much. So, if you are like me, who now owns versions 08, 09, and 10 of the show, it may seem like it's the same game year after year. It's the little changes that make this game worth buying and I would recommend this game to anyone.
