Exact same game as last year, bugs and all. New career mode is okay.

User Rating: 8 | MLB 07: The Show PS2
The good: A new career mode attempt. Good batting and overall controls.

The bad: Same little bugs never fixed. Commentary is nearly untouched and still bad. Graphics looking outdated.

Review: Well, since I have a review of the 2006 game, I won't waste too much time here. You'd think they would have fixed all the little bugs and problems with the frame rate here, but they didn't. Line drives look like they are bouncing off the ground, AI is kind of a mess still, and the frame rate dips quite often. Same as last year. The commentary is mostly boring and frequently incorrect, and nearly untouched from last year. It's still a fun, realistic baseball game though, with tons of content and options, including, season, career, and franchise modes, as well as online play. There is a new caeer mode here, where it fast forwards everything for you in the game, but it won't let you manually fastforward any of it!!! When you play the new "road to the show" career mode, instead of playing an entire game, you only play when you're up to bat, when a ball is hit in your direction on defense, but the boring part is, when you get on base, you have to keep playing until you're not on base any more. That means simply watching your teammates hit away, and it feels more like watching a baseball game on TV, than actually playing one. The terrible thing is that there is no way to fast forward to your next appearance in the game!!! Thankfully, the old career mode can also be played, which doesn't fastforward everything for you, but still lets you do it manually. :-) I also had MLB 06 for the PSP, and was kind of spoiled by that and the nice LCD screen on the PSP, because this game doesn't even look as good as the PSP one. It passes, but it's nothing special. That's all for the review, God bless!
