One of the best sports games of the year!

It's March which must mean......it's baseball season! That also means this year the baseball video games have come out for many consoles. One of which is MLB 07: The Show. This year's game has pretty much the same stuff. Some new things include the Adaptive Pitching System. This allows computer opponents to be more challenging when pitching to them. Hitters will learn how to adapt to the way you pitch. Also, to try and combat 2K7's pitching system, there will be an icon telling you what pitch to throw and where. This isn't random. It's what the catcher thinks is the best pitch to throw and also where to place the ball in order to get the best result. You don't have to follow this but it's a nice touch. Handling multiple base runners and putting more on throws to bases are also added this year. The online mode has stayed solid as always. What is most hyped this year is this year's career mode called "Road to the Show". This allows you to create a player and go through spring training in order to gain a spot on the 25 man roster of your choice. Most likely you won't be able to make it which will put you in the minors. However, this allows you to rise through the ranks and get you some time to get comfortable hitting and pitching. The original career mode from last year's game is also available along with the EyeToy function. What is great about this game is how it's a game that you can pretty much pick up and play. It's also a fun game to play with other people. Even if you're a rookie at baseball games, you can learn how to hit pitches. A function allows you to read how badly you missed a pitch by clicking the left analog stick.
This year's installment of The Show has not changed much except with the number of bells and whistles added on to the game this year. Some argue that this game needs to have some analog stick control with batting. However, that is what makes this game for many people. It's not that hard to play. This year if you can get only one baseball game this year, pick up MLB 07: The Show.
