Fun... only for the first few tries

The first time i played it, it was great. Seeing through the eyes of Faith, a runner, travelling with her every jump and swing was incredible. All the motions were smooth and the graphics were unbelievably realistic.

However, after I played an hour or so i got to a stage which i was having difficulty passing. Using the in game hint function - which automatically changed the direction you were heading to the direction which you should be heading - was of absolutely no use, and after the twentieth try i resorted to a video walk through. After that everything was routine, run here, run there, swing here, jump there, slide here and climb there.

It got boring, fast. Many, many times i had to repeat a stage because i'd mistimed a jump, consequently fall to my death or die by an electric fence.

There was no freedom, unlike GTA, where you could explore and do whatever you wanted when you got bored with missions. With mirror's edge, you don't have that opportunity, you're always on a mission, just running, because you are literally ALWAYS being chased.

Mirror's Edge gives you an opportunity to run and run.... and run.
