I heard of Minecraft from the internet back during its Alpha days and the Halloween update. As soon as I heard of it, I watched the trailer made by Vareide and was astounded with the building and the exploration shown. It looked like a good game. It looked unique. Then the trailer ended with "But as you mine. You realize, you are not alone." Stunned, I tried the game immediately.

I entered the blocky world, unsure of what to expect. It was all pixelated and looked absolutely huge. As I later found out it could go on forever. Each new world would be different from each other. Then the music came in, it was all beautiful. I had no idea what I was doing, I was lost in exploration, and before I knew it, it was night. Monsters came out and I was unprepared.

After watching tutorials of a surprisingly complicated game, I finally set out prepared with building and trying to fend off the monsters. Surprisingly, updates for Minecraft came often. Adding plenty of new content. With such a huge world I had no idea what the limits of the game were. I was mining in a cave, then I heard a sound. It sounded ghostly. Were there ghosts? I hurriedly climbed up, horrified. I was immersed in the game. As I soon found out, there were no ghosts, but how would I know? The limits of the game were endless.

I crafted, and built, and tried to survive in the world. Horrifying and beautiful. Combat was simple and made it difficult to survive. And it was all amazing. I always discovered something new the more I played.

The time came when creative mode came in. I could build anything. There was so much to do in this game. You can pass the time easily. There were plenty of mods for the game, despite the game already having tons of content.

Multiplayer was huge and has a friendly community. There were survival servers, creative servers, and other servers based around something entirely different.

I cannot find flaws in a game with such expansive content. With frequent updates. With the huge, creative, hard working community that Minecraft all has. It is a game for all ages with something to appreciate for everyone. Minecraft is a masterpiece and is highly addictive.
