Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is a good collection of classic arcade games but it has some disappointing omissions too.
The games included with this title are A.P.B.,Arch Rivals,Championship Sprint,Cyberball 2072,Gauntlet II,Hard Drivin',Kozmik Krooz'r,Mortal Kombat 2 and 3,NARC Pit-Fighter,Primal Rage,Rampage World Tour,Spy Hunter II,Timber,Total Carnage,Wacko Wizard of Wor,Xenophobe Xybots.
Mortal Kombat II was the main reason I bought this title and the version of MK2 included with this game looks and plays almost identical to the arcade version.
The version of Mortal Kombat 3 included with this title is poor because the AI behaves differently to the arcade version(It will counter a lot of what you do)and is only just barely playable.Also,the sound lags behind the gameplay or repeats itself in some segments.
Also,why didn't they give us Mortal Kombat 1(which is an absolute classic) or Ultimate MK3(which is the best version of MK3)? They also didn't include NBA Jam(which was another enjoyable arcade game)with this title and it wasn't even included with Midway Arcade Treasures 3.
Some of the other titles included with this game are quite fun.Gauntlet is a fun hack n slash adventure game.NARC is a fun arcade style shoot em up.Hard Drivin' is an interesting driving game that lets you drive through looped roads(even while you're upside down).Pit Fighter is a nice chance to other fighting games.It's fun to just try out the games and play them and you're given unlimited continues for those games.
The titles do come in good variety from fighting,hack n slash,driving,shoot em up or sport games.
Overall it's an enjoyable package,but could have used a bit more polish and it has some notable omissions that weren't included with Midway Arcade Treasures 3 either.
