The Real sim that works perfectly on a med-low pc

User Rating: 9 | Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 PC
I wanted to try a flight sim, i've downloaded FSX demo but the frame rate was so slow i couldn't do anything. Then i found FS '04 for 7€ in a supermarket and that changed everything.
It runs PERFECTLY at max resolution on my old AMD 3400+ with 2gb of RAM and a Radeon X1950 Pro 512.
With the very same system the frame rate on FSX was ridiculous, probably around 10fps...
You can find more details on the GS review or the users' one, i just want to focus on the fact that if you're new to flight sims and you're willing to read a lots of docs you'll have real fun. The interactive lessons are great and you always know what to do and how, and each reading session is always accompanied by a flight one. Yes, you have to be a little forgiving about the overall graphic quality but we're not talking about an arcade, here the focus is on realism. And here, you won't be disappointed.
Again, the most important thing is that it runs smoothly on med-low PCs like mine so, obviously, if you can run FSX just go for it.
Finally, a great, immersive experience to "learn how to fly" and much more for a "short" price: that's always good, isn't it?
