Michael Jakson's Moonwalker was released during the second wave of games to the Genesis. As the game title says you plays as Michael Jackson. "Moonwalker is based on the movie. Mr. Big has kidnapped the children and has nasty things in store for them, like drugging them and making them slaves. It´s up to Michael to use his powers and save his little friends"

The gameplay is a 2D sidesroller an the focused is on finding children. which are scattered throughout the level. The player has combination health/ability bar. One button will allow Michael to spin. This move will depreciate health. If the spin is held for more than two seconds, Michael will throw his hat in a fashion of a boomerang which will destroy most enemies. The game featuring dance moves taken from the film clips of whatever song is playing in the background. The music is also one of the best things in this game. tracks like "Smooth Criminal" "Bad" "Another Part of Me" and "Billie Jane"

Almost every stage has three levels. There is not realy more in to this game. But what you get is fully enough for a genesis game and its a true classic game for that console.

This is one of those rare games for the Genesis you probably never heard of. But now you have. If you own a Genesis you should own this game in your collection, it would be a crime if you dont!
