Metroid Prime was always a promising series, but this game took it to a whole new perspective.

How can anyone skip this game if they own a Gamecube? Samus is a unique character when you compare her to other classic Nintendo characters. The gameplay, graphics, and sounds are stunningly unbelieveable. Taking the series to a three dimensional level was a big step, but the creators pulled it off surprisingly well. The environment looks like you really are on an alien planet. The enemies can be tough or simple to defeat, depending on which weapon you use. The boss fights are amazing as well. They are very large and powerful, but they can be very simple if you know what you're doing. The free roam system was a good installment as well as the gameplay. The controls are very easy to master after an hour or two. Some of the puzzle solving makes the game a unique first person shooter. Gamecube owners are very proud to show off a great game like Metroid Prime.
