over the top fire power, ability to transform into a ball, yep this is metroid.

The Metroid series' second outing in 3-D has been another success. The graphics are top notch for the game cube and Nintendo teaming up with Retro Studios was the best thing to ever happen to the series (or at least that's what I think seeing as how I only played two Metroid games.) The story starts off by Samus getting a call from the galactic federation about the mysterious disappearance of some of its members. When Samus is flying down to the planet her ship is destroyer by a freak lightning storm so now she's trapped on the planet. The good graphics, multiple weapon/suit upgrades, and story give it its 9.5 but the difficulty of the game and the lacking ability to save any where you want can be vary annoying. If you are looking to buy this game, I suggest you look at GameStop/EB Games - but make sure you have $20. I know it sounds weird for a game that has been out for a few years, but it's worth it.
