The graphics are to die for especially on teh Gamecube which hasnt hda much of a rep for good graphics. The gameplay was also very immense and had somewhat of a creepy tone to it. I had myself actually immersed into the game as I was actually feeling the intenseness of it. It also had great audio though not the same music as its predecessors. I also own an Xbox and have played Halo the greatest FPS I've ever played... until now. This game stands right next to Halo o my list. It is in a way the "Halo 2" of the Gamecube. The story was also satisfying, as you had to destroy the dark version of the world known as Aether by collecting its light energy and transfer it to the light world. Now, after covering the gem-like single player I also now must cover the somewhat lackluster multiplayer. At first I was very pumped about hearing about a multiplayer Metroid Prime. But when i started to play it with a friend, I found that it wasn't intense as other FPS multiplayers.

The fact that there wasn't a huge assortment of weapons and only a few choice stages drove most of the mutliplayer factor down. But some key things do show through. I found it very fun to go around killing my friends with the "Deathball", one of many various "upgrades" you can find in spots with question marks on them . I also found that it makes use of some of the upgrades you get in the single player part, such as the spider ball and grappling hook. The game also lasts long which is a very good thing for people who will want a constant intense action game. Overall this game has the quality of a pure gem except for some minor flaws but nothing to make you not like the immense world and action packed play. If anything this game is a gem in not only the Gamecubes world but in all of videogames.
