In SNK Neogeo's Old Skool 2D arcade quarter munching machine you take on as one of four characters though six brain-shatteringly, Controller busting insane missions. Each more insane than the last (from zombies you go to fighting giant crabs, for cryin' out loud). From your wimpy pistol you can turn your gun from anything to a laser gun to a flamthrower. You can also get a elephant slug designed from the slug universe. But if metal slug 3 is sooooooooooo difficult what makes it a classic? Simply put it's fun you'll find yourself compelled to keep playing. So to sum it all up with a bunch of unlockable mini games and support for Xbox leaderboards Metal Slug 3 delivers a wacky (but in a good way) but-hard-as-nails ride expressly toward arcade gamers and is fun all the way through. Graphics If you like nicely animated sprites and cleaver character designs, then have at it- but it won't support HDTV Boo! Immersion it's got that that stuttered arcade pacing (play a level, die, walkaway, repeat, etc), so don't expect hours of story driven immersion. Sound It's a port of a arcade game, so expect goofy, repetitive sound effects. Design All the branching paths and clever little goodies make for some replay value-o-rama for otaku-grade gamers.
