Much much different than the other Metal Slug games.

This is the game that stands out the most compared to Metal Slug 1,2,X,4, and 5. Its levels and missions are much harder and much more challenging than the other Metal Slug games. Giant sea crabs, zombies that shoot out blood, and the "Land of the Dead" feeling never escapes you. Underwater ships that are nearly impossible to defeat are also around. This time, your grenades won't work. The zaney humor and insanity of Metal Slug is here, AND you get to go underwater just with a fish bowl on your head for air. Just watching the characters stand there and drool or let boogers swing around their noses is fun. Metal Slug 1 was awesome, but Metal Slug 3 was more memorable. The second one--well, I loved the desert levels. But still, number 3 was too darn addicting. Metal Slug X was like Metal Slug 2 but with a few changes, not too much. Metal Slug 4's levels weren't very memorable at all, but I loved the new character. Metal Slug 5 had improved graphics, but the old-school feeling LEFT me. Why? The improved graphics looked WAY too cartoony. I didn't like the feeling it gave me. Overall, I'm just clarifying that Metal Slug 3 is the best!
