A quick and painful (In a good painful way) to take your Xbox back to a time where games dont need good graphics.
Now to anyone that is unfimilar to Metal Slug, A metal slug is the tank that is used in each and every game. But not only that but there are numberous (probabally the amount as the 2nd Halo's) vehicles, And each one has its one weapon and use. From subs, to jeeps, to even a kick ass camel with mounted mac-guns. (so fun...good times)
Anywho, you are not always bound to your secondary being (vehicles) but walking makes up for most of the game (especially when your ride explodes...damnit!) and "saving hippies will reward you with guns, upgrages, and other goodies.
The sound is repetive, but ain't all arcade games? I was fine listening to the same noise play while i massacre several armed guards with nothing but a one-hit-kill knife. The game is rather short, but multiple paths ensure that if the difficulty won't stop you, you can last a rather long time beating all the levels going diffrent ways. But in the end, you must always fight the boss.
After spending $19.99 I'm not really happy about the price for something I could basically download online for free, but it is a diffrent and much needed genre in my growing Xbox collection, and is great with a friend in co-op.
