The best game ever in my opinion, if you are looking for a great story, and great gameplay, get this!

User Rating: 9.9 | Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Mega Hits!) PS2
The facts: In a world where every major corporation owns a weapon of mass destruction, there is Solid Snake. He is a part of a peaceful non-metal gear group called “Philanthropy”. This is how MGS2 begins, and it just keeps on getting better. If you have been living under a rock for the last few years, allow me to fill you in on a few details. This is the sequel to the critically acclaimed “Metal Gear Solid”. It was released in Nov. 2001. It is rated M for Mature, but you can turn the blood off. This is a game where anybody who understands the story will absolutely adore it. The graphics help this experience ricochet to godly standards. The graphics: This game has probably the greatest graphics on PS2. This game is detailed down to the core. For example, little things like snakes bandana flap in the wind believably. Not to mention, just about everything can be shot with a result, like shooting a bucket of ice drops ice everywhere(the ice starts melting away), then you can shoot individual pieces of ice and so on. When I first saw this I was amazed. This is not only a game but also an experience. Hideo Kojima accurately designed this world so it feels lively. The cinemas are on par with Xbox graphics. This is a must-have for any Playstation 2 owner. The sound: This game’s sound is perfect, from the breathtaking main theme down to the Snake’s footsteps. This game must be heard. For the most part, the voice acting is the best I have ever heard in a video game. The music sticks with me for my day-to-day experiences, and is unforgettable. The gunshots are accurate to my knowledge, and the music is near perfect for every moment. I am not a sound savvy gamer, but this game made me appreciate its sound. I enjoyed every sound I heard. The gameplay: The Gameplay is so fantastically schemed, that even beginners will not require time to get into the shoes of Solid Snake. The pressure sensitive buttons work perfectly, and increase accuracy. The first person mode is a very needed portion and is implemented very well. Some may have trouble with pressure sensitivity, but it is a flaw that is in the hands of the gamer. The controls are very responsive and allow the game to be played with ease. The plotline's one of the best stories ever, in all things (movies, books etc…). I might easily end up telling my kids this as a bedtime story. The replay value really depends on how far you are willing to go. There are hundreds of dog tags in each difficulty level and there are five levels of difficulty. It is also just fun to play over and over again. So, replay is not a problem. Metal Gear Solid MUST be experienced by every gamer that is willing to watch a lot of movies. Some people say this is a flaw, but I take it that the creators really got into their story, and what a great story they manufactured. Overall: Putting every good thing about action games into one, and adding a monumental story is what Metal Gear is about. If u are turned off by great graphics, awesome stories, fun-as-hell gameplay, and despise beautiful music, stay FAR away from this game.
