The original Metal gear solid was one of the best games made, But Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty seems to be a bit better by graphics and game play. In Metal Gear Solid 2 you play as Solid Snake who is a war veteran and who stops terrorist activity and so on. You will encounter several new and old friends and foes as you go through the story. For a PS2 game it has pretty nice graphics and has some new features as well. The game creators developed a new style for the shooting sequences witch is first person. It's pretty easy to turn back to third person, Most of the game will have you switch views so the game play runs smoothly and it usually does. The game has a great soundtrack that the game developers made themselves but sadly they never made a soundtrack for the game. You will also get new fighting abilities such as grabbing a human shield having a hold up or breaking a guards neck while he's a human shield. You will play as two characters Solid Snake and a former foxhound named Raiden who has a brutal past and is supposedly doing a mission to stop the terrorist's that are trying to create a new Metal Gear. Even though the game has two levels they are very long levels that have a few extras such as dog tags hidden around the map. After you play the game you will be really happy you did.
