Mercenaries: Great Game. Plus it makes you think a lot!

When i first played this game soon after it came out; i was addicted. I would go to my friends house and play for as long as i was over there, with him as my wing man pointing things out that he knew from playing. I just bought this game today after not playing it for about a year and i can honestly say i am more excited to play this now than i was then. Game play is great for experienced players as well as newcomers. It is just something about this game that is addictive and fun. The fact you can steal, blow up and shoot at anything and not feel guilty about it is probably why. Yes people say it is just like GTA but i have played GTA VC and i can honestly say i do not feel the same.

I wrote that review 2 years ago. Since then, I have played through the game at least 4 times. I can honestly say that this game is my favorite game for the PS2. I guess it is a little but of everything for this game that does it for me. The freedom you have to move around the map, the over all intensity of the fighting and contracts(as they get harder) and the ability to take an vehicle at any time. There is a special cheat code that can be obtained that really changes the playing field for anyone replaying the game as the same character. Getting this code is VERY difficult as you have to CAPTURE every single member of the deck of 52 cards.
