Probably one of the best war games for its generation, and maybe even better than some of the newer generation.
The graphics are good enough, and its easy to figure how to play by yourself (without instructions). This game is also great just playing around blowing everything up, though many of the missions are great too, but I think I had the most fun exploring and destroying things.
The fact that you can blow up any building with the right weapons adds to the games fun, allowing you to go on a rampage destroying cities and killing everybody. However sometimes you may not have the right weapons with you. Not a problem! Thanks to the Russian Mafia, you can go to their online shop (in-game, not real) and buy anything you've unlocked. This includes supplies (guns, health, vehicle armor), vehicles (helicopters, apcs, trucks, cars), and even airstrikes (cruise missile strike, fuel-air bomb, tank buster, plus many others...)!
If you still can't defeat the North Koreans even with the help of all the items you've unlocked and you don't care about playing fair, go find some cheats! This game has the perfect cheats (invincibility, unlim. ammo, more money, all shop items). Theirs also some not-so-important cheats, one of them even turns you into Han Solo (Star Wars). This cheat can be unlocked by finding some hidden items though.
So...what are you waiting for? Buy Mercenaries and defeat those North Koreans!
