I am a huge fan of the first game, but this game was beyond horrible..

I remember playing the first mercenaries game on the original xbox.. The game acted like a GTA clone, but had some interesting characters and factions (russian mafia, south korea, china, usa) that you could work for and all that and the graphics were good... Now pandemic released mercenaries 2 a buggy mess of a game.. First off the single player is awful.. The graphics look exactly the same as the first game.. There is a co-op online mode which you can play with your friends and that is fun for an hour, but it soon wears off.. The explosions are still decent looking in this game, but if you blow up a building it usually respawns and you cannot hurt civilians (again?!??!) the car control feels sloppy and the targeting for the shooting people sucks... If you are firing from a distance you usually have to shoot 30-40 bullets just to kill one dude.. I wanted to love this game, but it lacked what the first game had... A better story and at least the graphics back then looked way better, they did not improve the graphics at all.. Overall this game is a major disappointment and only the devout mercenaries fan will enjoy it.. other than that avoid it altogether.... . . .. . . . . ,. , .,., .,., ,. ,.
