Four great games in one great collection.

Mega Man Zero Collection, as I'm sure you can imagine, collects the four Mega Man Zero games that were released on the Gameboy Advance years ago. I never played them, after finishing ZX Advent and with this release, it was the perfect opportunity to get a hold of all of them. Though, as usual, Mega Man games are a bit tricky to find in parts of Europe for whatever reasons. But I managed to find a copy, and now I've finished all four games. I enjoyed all of them and 2 and 3 in particular. I would probably say that the third one is my favorite with the fourth being the weakest of the bunch, but that may be because it got a bit repetitive after playing the 3 previous games, and the predictable, sad ending was a disappointment.

The challenge is off the scale if you play them on normal difficulty, however you can try the "easy scenario" mode, which gives you a hefty life bar and everything maxed out, and it IS very easy, so anyone should be able to finish these games now. The story didn't grip me, I skipped almost all the cutscenes and moments of dialogue. Ciel is a prominent character in all the games, and other characters return in some of them. A few bosses are recycled ones with a few new attacks. They're all very similar games, so I'm not going to go into detail, there are other, far better reviews that actually do, or actually....good reviews as opposed to this. I guess I'm just lazy. The games are from the GBA and naturally look a bit dated, but the music is as usual, top notch. As far as gameplay go, what can I tell you? It's classic Mega Man 2D action from start to finish. A few missions, such as the one where you have the protect people from point A to B breaks up the flow and you have to take your time looking out for other people, it's more fun just dashing around blasting and slashing and....that's all you need really.

These are four great games for a reasonable price, so if you haven't checked them out already or they were too challenging the first time around, and if you like Mega Man, you could check it out.
