Not the best Mega Man game, but this is one MM game that will challenge you.

User Rating: 9 | RockMan X6 (PlayStation the Best) PS
Mega Man X6 is one of the most hardest Mega Man games to date, right up here with the Zero series. Of course, some hard games can be quite good, like this one. Executing Review Program now.

Gameplay: If you want Mega Man X action and super-challenging gameplay, it's got it all. You will start as X in his Falcon Armor. He goes out to find Zero abandoned in a ruined highway. Not only do you have X's trusty X-Buster, but you also have Zero's legendary sword, the Z-Saber. You use the sword by pressing the Triangle Button. And just like Mega Man X5 and X7, you can save Reploids to get items or recover yourself. Of course, some Reploids do nothing. After the Intro Stage, you have the classic "Pick Your Stage Boss" menu. When you completed seven stages, you will have the chance to play as Zero. But unlike X4 and X5, Zero has a different 3-Slash combo, but nevertheless, it's all Zero. All of the stages are very challenging, and that's the way I like it.

Graphics: The graphics are the same from X4 and X5. No problems here.

Sound: All of the sounds are the same as X5's. The only problem is Zero's voice. Zero sounds more like he's sick. But good sound overall.

Value: Anyone who's looking for a super Mega Man challenge will find loads of replay value. Anyone looking for a nice relaxing game could find the game frustrating. You can play the game often if you are craving for medium difficulty, but more often for challenge seekers.

Final words: It's not the best Mega Man game, but this is one MM game that will challenge you. Everything about the game is challenging, classic Mega Man X action is still designed successfully, the graphics are great for a 2D game and the sound is above average. Anyone who is a Mega Man fan, owns a PS1/PS2 or wants a challenge should definately pick this one up.
