Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge isn't necessarily bad, but it is a new experience that shouldn't be shoved aside.. It strays from the traditional Battle Network formula greatly. If you are looking for a traditional Battle Network game, *THIS IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU.* This game is more like a card game, such as a Dragonball Z trading card videogame or other strategy games. The game contains a handful of familiar faces, as well as some new faces for similar but new gameplay.
All RPG aspects in the game have been removed; and they have been placed with strategy. The action portions have as well been removed, since you control everything through a menu. (Similar to Mega Man Battle Network Transmission.) For multiplayer, you are given a certain "code". You give this code to your friends, and they enter it in their game to battle you. Thus, no gamelink cable is required and you could battle people from across the world. It's a different but still enjoyable expierence. All in all, if you want a fun,enjoyable, but fresh time, you should pick up this game. Your regard to all the the other Battle Network games should be left behind; this is a completely different game than all the other games. The only similarity is the characters and chips that it contains.
