Its mega man. its hard to go wrong with mega man.
First, lets talk about whats changed. The collection is comprised of all 8 of the original mega man games along with 2 unlockable TMNT style games. The games are a perfect emulation of the originals and they have a special mode where the game comes with remixed music and the mega man 8 style health bar for every game! Since these games were around before I played games, this didn't bug me at all. However, for those of u who find the new music a blasphemy against mega man, you can choose to use the classic mode where nothing is changed. Finally there are plenty of unlockables to get such as pictures, movies, and the two games!
Onto the gameplay. Come on guys, its mega man! whats not to like? You get to pick between 1 of 8 robot masters for every game, shoot up the baddies in the lvl and then beat down the boss. Then you go fight Wily on a 5 level, no save spree. Still as much fun as it was on the NES.
Graphics and sound are exactly the same (unless you change to Navi mode, then the sound is remixed) which really brings back the great memories. I am gonna have to rate the graphics down a little bit cuz the emulation is so perfect that the NES glitches are still there too.
Really, i thought the only downside of this game was that you have to play through mega man 8 to unlock some stuff. I consider 8 to be a disgrace to the mega man series so I didnt want to play it. Besides that I highly recommend this to anyone even if u have nvr played a mega man game in your life. Its a great time to start.
