The 5th "Mega Man" game on the NES isn't only the best, it's also the easiest (which isn't saying much!) :D

After taking a bit of a falter with "Mega Man IV," Capcom managed to pull out all the stops for the fifth outing of the Blue Bomber on the NES. Graphically and musically, games don't get much better on an 8-bit system than the masterpiece that is "Mega Man V." I know a lot of people will either defend either "Mega Man II" or "Mega Man III," as the pinnacle of the 8-bit outings of the heroic robot, but I prefer "Mega Man V" to those games because out of all the NES games I have played (via Wii Virtual Console) this game is by far the easiest and therefore the most enjoyable! :D Of course, saying this game is the easiest of a game series known for its blistering difficulty and challenge is like saying only FIVE days of surviving in a desert is easier than six. Don't be mistaken, "Mega Man V" is still a challenge to beat just like the other 8-bit adventures featuring Mega Man; thankfully, the game is FAR more forgiving than the Mega Man's other 8-bit classics. The dangers aren't as constant and there's a more gradual learning curve to mastering the game than there were in the first four NES "Mega Man" games as well as the last. The story is also compelling by 8-bit standards as well! Proto Man has apparently "Gone Rogue," and Mega Man must do the unthinkable, take down Proto Man's eight robot masters (some of the best bosses in the original "Mega Man" series, by the way) and then take out Proto Man himself! But there MAY be another dark force lurking in the shadows (and if you CAN'T guess who it is, you have SERIOUSLY got to play all of "Mega Man's" OTHER 8-bit games!) Games don't get much more stunning running with an 8-bit engine than with this one, and I highly recommend it to player's seeking an old-school challenge with their video game system! 8) Enough said, true believers! ;)
