A disappointing Medal of Honor but, enjoyable and a good rental.
The Multiplayer in MOH is probably where people had high hopes, trying to compete with Call of Duty and Battlefield is no easy task, sadly the multiplayer is average at best with a number of problems and in need of some patches. The multiplayer was developed by DICE, the creators of Battlefield Bad Company. It feels very similar but, has problems. This multiplayer strongly encourages camping. Every gun other than the pistol and RPG has a scope attachment. Enemies look very similar to teammates and have no indicator to differentiate them from your teammates. The environment is mildly destructible and it plays well but, with everyone with sniper weapons and a difficulty to spot enemies it causes a frustrating experience. It takes hours to get used to getting killed under 5 seconds of respawning by someone you can't see or ever come close to killing. The actual maps are not very creative, they are similar to other modern shooter games. Upgrading weapons through experience is poorly constructed with very few weapons to unlock and dumb perks like extra ammo or extra grenades. It lacks creativity and incentive other than acquiring scopes to battle the fellow campers and snipers.
Visuals- Average to good graphics, nothing extraordinary and some glitches that can be a pain. Very dark, hard to see, turn up brightness.
Audio- The sound is fantastic, Medal Of Honor is known for their game audio. Guns sound great, voice acting well done and script is okay. Sound effects sound real. Small amount of music is good and fits.
Replayability- Game is easy, very short campaign, tier 1 mode adds lots of challenge. (timed, hard, no checkpoint missions) Multiplayer is okay, too many bad nuisances. Frontline comes with trophies and a significantly longer campaign.
So medal of Honor is a decent game but, a disappointment in my opinion. It's a very good rental. 2 platinums can be had in this game. Not worth $60 but a good $30-$40 purchase with Medal of Honor Frontline.
