one of the worst

User Rating: 4.7 | Medal of Honor: Underground GBA
Oh my God .. this is probably one of the worst games I've ever played on the GBA besides maybe Back Track or The Three Stooges. This is especially disappointing because I love the MOH franchise and have played and owned all of their games on the Mac, PC, PSX, PS2 and GBA. Underground is a really good game on the PS1 and Infiltrator is excellent on the GBA ? so what went wrong, why is this game so bad??? Well, right off the bat, the player is forced to see an ad for MOH at the bottom of the screen throughout the entire game. Come on, the GBA screen is only so big and having to dedicate a portion of the screen to this static logo is just a simple waste of space. Then there's the pixels in this game ... the graphics are so disturbingly bad and the surroundings seem to ooze and bend as the player moves through the game. The enemies are really hard to see and the surroundings are so similar throughout a level that the player can't tell if they are going into a new area or going backwards. Game play and movement through the levels is pretty solid and the controls work adequately, but the warping graphics really make this title unplayable without getting a little sea sick. It doesn't even have the usual excellent music and sounds associated with the MOH games. The value rating has to be low too cuz you know that you pay a little extra for anything that's got MOH written on it, even if it's used!!! The only rating that may be a little high in my evaluation is the reviewer's tilt. I just like Medal of Honor games!something about the history, nazi, dogs, tanks, weapons, locales, battles and all of that surrounding the MOH franchise that makes me like ?em?but this game just isn't one of them. Again, buy this game for the ps1 AND YOU'LL LIKE IT A LOT MORE.
PS: it looks marginally better on the micro because the reduced screen size compresses the pixels or something.
