*****HOOPSTAR789's REVIEW ON MEDAL OF HONOR FRONTLINE HD*****

User Rating: 8.5 | Medal of Honor Frontline PS3
Ok, so the game is Medal of Honor Frontline, you take the role as an American Soldier during World War II and fight the Nazi Reich from the beaches of Omaha on D-Day, to the German Fatherland. Before I begin my review this is a PS3 game only adn its the HD version, not the PS2 version.
1.GRAPHICS- Ok, so for today's standard, this looks way below a budget title in general, but this is an HD do makeover of a 2002 PS2 game, so.... The game actually looks alooot better over the last-gen version, EA Los Angleas did a great job brining this game to the HD graphics, the shadow effects look pretty nice, the charcrter models both German and American look really good, and the backdrop of each mission looks superb, but though all that is nice, the weapon animations are a bit robotic, theres quite a bit of muddy textures, some pop ins now and then, alot of clipping, and some low res textures, but like I said, this is just an HD makeover of a game that was made neraly 10 years ago, but trust me, Graphics is just the weakest part of the game.
2.GAMEPLAY- Ok, so theres 2 types of control schems, the orginal frontline controls that we had to get used to from last gen games such as red faction and killzone 1, and the Modern Day Controls that were all used to, I highly suggest playing this game on Modern Controls or else like me, you'll have quite a bit of troulbe gettin used to the controls, infact, theres a trophy for jus tplaying one mission with the Class Control Scheme. But anyway, the gameplay itself is pretty smooth, I had no expericnes with frame rate issues at all and there is alot going on at screen at once as the game throws tons as nazis at you along with the great sceneay and action going on. The gameplay is pretty legendary for its time since it was pretty much the top dog of the day until games such as Killzone, Battlefield and Call of Duty came along, so most of todays gamers would pretty much see this as a decent shooter, but I find it a classic. The Enemey A.I. is actually pretty smart, they pop in and out of cover, take some potshots, and throw grenades back, not as smart as the A.I. like call of duty, but damn near. The A.I. does seem to have some problems such as making 1 in a lifetime shots which leaves you saying WTF? and sometimes they kinda get down syndrome and randomnly charge you then run back to cover like they had a deathwish, but then again I cant complain because I did find it quite funny. Overall the gameplay is solid and still as fun today as it was 10 years ago.
3.STORY- The story in the game is, actually being honest, I wasnt all in to the story, the story kinda seems just added in but its a war game, back then it was all about Gimme a Garand, an Mp40, and grenades and lets kill Nazis, and thats what I did in this game, The story isnt a major part and I didnt find it all entertaining but if you wanna follow the story, go for it, The story isnt bad at all, but just kind of seems like it was added in.
4.SOUNDTRACK- Oh my God, the soundtrack in this game is like Hollywood Level, it puts John Williams in shame, the music in this game is just top notch, i cant stress to you enough, the music while fighting in battles like Operation Market Garden and Armkem City really sets the mood in you, if you ever seen the series Band of Brothers then you know what Im talking about, well, that same feeling when the music was playing in that show is in this game, sometimes I would just wait at the main menu and listen to the music, yeah, the soundtack in this game is f***in amazing.
5.MULTIPLAYER-N/A
6.OVERALL- Overall Medal of Honor Frontline is just as amazing as it was 10 years ago and I thank EA so much for brining back one of my childhood games, Im so glad that the gave it HD graphics, and left everything as I remeber the same, for those who followed the Medal of Honor series will deeply apperciate this game, and leave a mark in every Medal of Honor player, becaus ebeing honest, this is the best Medal of Honor Game. Thank you so much EA, I highly recommend to get the Tier-1 Edition of the new Medal of Honor just to play this game.
