One of the best MOH games

User Rating: 8.5 | Medal of Honor Frontline (Platinum) PS2
Medal of Honor: Frontline is one of the best MOH games I have ever played. The story is decent, the graphics are good, and the sound is amazing.

While somewhat short, the campaign is fun enough to replay several times. You play as lieutenant James Patterson, who works with the OSS. The game starts with a surprisingly realistic trip to Omaha beach on D-Day. It sounds almost like you're really there, with explosions and gunshots going off all around you. The soundtrack is also amazing.

The graphics aren't that bad, either. The models look acceptable, but the best part is the fact that whenever someone speaks, their lips are almost perfectly in sync with what they're saying. This will really increase the realism of it all.

There are a few flaws to MOH: Frontline. The most obvious one is the AI. The AI is very, very weak, for example they will almost never take cover if they're in the open. Rather, they'll just try to kill you head-on. A less obvious problem is the fact that sometimes when you kill an enemy, their jaw sometimes moves. Another problem is the frame rate. In missions such as D-Day, where there are huge explosions, the frame rate will take a nosedive for a few seconds, then return to normal. Firing a machine gun too rapidly will also lower the frame rate. The campaign is good, but the weakest point is that there is no online play.

If you're looking for a decent WWII shooter, this may be a start. Hard to recommend wholeheartedly, but still an OK shooter that will amuse most people for a surprisingly long period of time.
