Uuuugh...here we go...

User Rating: 6 | Medal of Honor: European Assault XBOX
The Medal of Honor series won't be around much longer, with Brothers in arms and Call of Duty dominating the WW2 market, EA is in trouble, their somewhat recent MOH: European Assault, and an attempt to match the tactics and storyline of Brothers in Arms, it failed of course and was soon forgotten, the game is nothing special, it did bring some less than innovative features to the game, like the cheesy "Adrenaline" meter which makes you into a superhero and makes you immune to bullets and makes your weapon have unlimited ammunition. What were they thinking. The squad combat was VERY poorly done and the commands were "watered down" and hardly recognizable in combat, the locations and battlefields had little in the way of authenticity, the graphics were rather good for the day, but still looked washed out, the weapons were not at all realistic or authentic they reminded me of a paper cut-out, and they all had a feeling like they were made out of cheap plastic, especially the horrendous M1 Garand. The sounds were pretty sharp, the "story" was of Lt. William Holt, and his service with the OSS, the usual Medal of Honor story script, you go around killing German soldiers and blowing up enemy strongholds usually alone because of your mentally disabled squad who never follows orders. This time around the developers made the objective of killing "Evil Nazi Bosses" and by killing them you get more superpoints, they, of course, require a few dozen headshots before they make their scripted death sequence. The game has no real multiplayer, just 2 on 2 split screen, no fun at all, and a few underdone, low-res levels. This game is the final breaths of a dying franchise that was once so famous to all of us. I would not recommend this game to anyone with a passion for WW2.unless you are in the mood for playing a "Superhero" game, but then, just play spiderman or something. However, the other MOH, that came out after this one... "MOH:superheros", or whatever it was, was a little better, but not close to anything worth actually buying.
