Amazing presentation but thats about it.....

The game really does start out awesome. The whole paratrooper training, jump out of a plane, is pretty neat I have to admit. Unfortunetly it all ends there.

The weapons pretty much suck, with maybe a few exceptions. Recoil, accuracy and even hit registry are all screwed up. Getting a headshot is really up to chance more than skill. For example, I understand that a weapon like the pistol is not supposed to be deadly accurate, but even 5 feet away, aiming down the sights at an enemy's head, i get a headshot maybe once out of 4 shots. Whats up with that?

The weapons also sound muffled and underpowered. I find it hard to believe that they spent the big bucks on sound fidelity and reproduction and really wanted to get that part right. Yet most of the weapons sound like BB guns...
Its funny that I re-played the very first CoD before getting into Airborne and by far CoD has better sounding guns and a more epic feel even though its a much older game.

All in all the game is worth playing through once just to get all the upgrades and say you played through it. But thats about it. The missions get boring quickly since they are pretty much all the same and there is virtually no plot. Not to mention the last level with the tower that requires you to paradrop at the very top and make your way all the way down every time you die. A checkpoint system is used at certain stages in the game but for some reason not very well.

I wouldn't spend more than 10 dollars on this if you're planning to get it.
