Maximo vs Army of Zin is a very good action/platformer that is great fun for the 8-10 hours it lasts.

User Rating: 8.5 | Maximo vs Army of Zin PS2
I know a lot of people who hated the original Maximo, mainly because it was so unforgiving with it's difficulty. Well, I'm happy to say that Maximo vs Army of Zin isn't only easier than the original Maximo, it's also much better. Maximo vs Army of Zin is an action/platformer, although those platform areas are few and far between. The game lets you learn new combat moves, upgrade your armor, and buy new weapons, 3 things that were missing from the original. Oh, and Army of Zin also lets you control the Grim Reaper himself for short times, as you can use him to clean house when there are a bunch of enemies on screen. As far as looks go, Army of Zin looks pretty good, but not nearly as good as some of it's PS2 counterparts, like Jak 2 or even the original Sly Cooper. Still, the graphics are nice enough that they improve the gameplay experience. All in all, Maximo vs Army of Zin is still a pretty challenging game that will be appealing to fans of action games in general.
