A fun (yet easy) platformer, best enjoyed during the dog days of summer.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood might not be a very innovative platform game, nor is it a particularly challenging game. In fact, no puzzle in the game took me more than a few minutes to solve (and I am not great at solving puzzles). Despite the lack of challenging puzzles, and relatively simple gameplay, it is still an enjoyable game. Levels are colorful, character movement and interactions are solid and the game breaks up the pace occasionally with a few chase scenes and other events.

While hardcore fans of puzzle platformers will most likely be disappointed with the game's simplistic puzzles, anyone looking to spend a few hours playing a casual, fun platformer should find something to enjoy in Max: The Curse of Brotherhood.
