Wow a Mario puzzle game. This is a change to the usual formula. The good news is that its a working formula

Basically, DK has taken all of the Mario toys and you have to get them back. Within each level you have to use some switches to be able to get a key to be able to get out of the maze that you are in. Then you have a boss against DK in which you once again have to work out what to do and how to beat him.

This game really opens your mind and, although it starts out easy, you will find yourself on a single puzzle for quite some time, and with the clock ticking you have to do solve it fast.

The graphics are arguebly some of the best on the GBA and there are lots of different worlds for you to go through.

It was a risk for Nintendo to make a 2D Mario game that wasn't a traditional platformer but it turned out to be a bold move

  It's not an overly difficult game, but there is a lot of fun to be had with it.
