This game was actually quite a bit of fun, I was skeptical at first though. The game is basically and updated version of the classic game. You go through level to level (being 8 levels a world). The first six levels of each world involve you completing some well designed puzzles in a short amount of time to reach a "Mario" robotic toy at the end. The seventh level usually involves another puzzle in which you must help escort the "mini Mario's" to the a box. For each one you get to the box will earn you an extra hit in the eighth level, that level being the showdown against Donkey Kong. After defeating Donkey Kong, you progress to the next world.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong also has some nice 3D graphics and some decent sound FX's and background music. The controls are also pretty simple, and before most levels you will be taught a new skill that you will need to pass the level. All in all, Donkey Kong vs. Mario is a welcome addition to the series.
