Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again Review

User Rating: 9 | Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! DS
Previously announced at E3, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again is the next installment of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. The game is downloadable in the DSi Shop for 800 points.($8 usd) For the price, the game is a great buy and has lots to offer.

The game controls are the same as its prequel title Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. Using the stylus the player must move and avoid obstacles in a panic to get their minis to the end of the stage. This time around, players are no longer able to control which direction the minis travel. Because of this the game plays a lot more like lemmings.

The main story itself has 100 levels. At first levels may seem easy but become increasingly difficult as the game progresses. They are divided into six main worlds. Worlds 1-4 have eight regular stages plus a boss battle and an unlockable stage. These worlds also have a more difficult counterpart which are the plus levels. These levels include auto-starting minis and has even more difficult puzzles to solve. The rooftop world lets players unlock minis to play as while the basement world has extra levels to unlock for the player to unlock.

Aside from these pre-made levels, players can create their own levels in the construction. At first, only simple levels can be made. As players progress through the main story mode they can unlock new maps and items to use in the construction zone. When done creating levels, players can then upload levels to a massive data base of user created levels via Nintendo wi-fi connectivity.

With all of its features coupled with a great price, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again could quite possibly be one of the best DSiWare titles you might ever download.
