If you're of age, a few drinks and some Mario Kart after work are the play for a Friday with nothing else to do. Can be enjoyed solo or with some buddies. I found this to bring me much joy during the dark days of 2020.
I remember playing double dash at sleepovers as a kid and Super Circuit for the GBA helped me quench my Kart thirst when my parents refused to let a TV gaming console into their house. Mario Kart 8 brings back a lot of beloved tracks from those games plus amazing new ones with great soundtracks (although sometimes I blast my own tunes while I play with an icy martini or cold one after closing the work laptop).
All the tracks are great, and the new Special Cup is my favorite grouping as of now.
Currently (3/19/2021) 6 stars short of 3-starring all of the 150cc cups.
This is peak form Mario Kart imo!
