Who knew that Wii remote waggling could be so much fun?

"Surprisingly good" just about sums up this game for me. My family had owned this game for around two years for our Wii, and I had never bothered with it becuase I thought it would just be another sports waggle-fest. It wasn't until a little while ago that I decided to bother with it. And you know what? It may be a waggle-fest, but it's actually a fun waggle-fest.

There's a wide variety of events that you can play in this game. There are tons of events ranging from track and field, swimming, and many other events. My favorite events are the track events (due to the fact that I'm a track runner), and although they may be waggle-fests, they're actually fun. Most of the events will actually work you pretty hard too. By the time you've played at least 30 minutes of this game, you'll be sweating more than you thought you ever would have.

There are lots of characters to pick from (Luigi FTW), and there are four different types of character specialties: Strength, All-Around, Speed, and Skill. The All-Around characters usually work the best, so I would recommend using those.

The controls are the biggest complaint about this game. "Waggle-fest" just about sums up most of the controls. Most of the events just rely on shaking the Wii remote, and that's kind of dissapointing, but the controls are still responsive for the most part.

All in all, this is a fun game, but it's not worth the $50 or however much it costs, so I would recommend buying it used.

To sum it up:

Pros:
Plenty of variety
Lots of characters to pick from
Most of the events are fun

Cons:
Most of the events rely a bit too heavily on shaking the Wii remote and nunchuck.
